Adaptive Yoga Moves Any Body Training is designed to increase awareness and knowledge about how to instruct adaptive yoga to individuals with neuromuscular conditions, with an emphasis on MS and Parkinson’s Disease. Trainees will gain confidence in their ability to meet the unique needs of their students with the gift, art, and science of yoga. Physical and Occupational therapists and clinicians will learn how yoga can complement their patient treatment plans. All attendees will gain an understanding of how Adaptive Yoga can impact the mind, body, and spirit and be offered as an umbrella for wellness.

This comprehensive training program is designed to equip, people with neuromuscular conditions, yoga instructors, and healthcare professionals with the knowledge and confidence to teach adaptive yoga in alignment with the guiding principles as outlined in Yoga Moves MS Founder and Director, Mindy Eisenberg’s book, Adaptive Yoga Moves Any Body (AYMAB). The principles are combined with an overview of neuromuscular conditions, poses, and adaptations for students with a range of abilities, the application of mindfulness principles, yoga therapeutics, class design, group dynamics, and administration. Trainees become part of a growing and supportive adaptive yoga community of instructors and students. Completion of this training and a passing grade on the exam (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DC98NYS) qualifies for 14 hours of Yoga Alliance continuing education.
